Job Overview: We are looking for a Countryside Ranger for the exciting new Ridgetop Park site in Matford, near Exeter. This site is a Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace (SANG) and is designed to absorb some of the visitor pressure from the Exe Estuary and Dawlish Warren internationally protected nature sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage diverse practical estate, habitat management and access maintenance work at Ridgetop Park.
  • Work within the wider district team across diverse countryside parks and nature reserves.
  • Carry out physically demanding site management works, adapting to all terrains and weather conditions (PPE supplied).
  • Engage in community outreach to raise the site profile and attract visitors.
  • Plan and lead public events and activities, including preparing posters, risk assessments, and mailing lists.
  • Maintain links with key stakeholders and external organisations via Outlook and Teams.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve Teignbridge’s vision of a healthy, desirable place to live, work and visit.
