Here at Country Style Foods we are currently looking for a Production Manager to join our night shift team. Country Style Foods is an award winning modern craft bakery. We are at the forefront of the market for both high quality and artisan products and work closely with the leading retailers and food service providers. Hours of Work

This is a night shift role working 18:00 – 06:00, the working pattern is as follows:

  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
  • Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

What does the job entail?

Reporting into the Senior Production Manager, the Production Manager's role is to lead, develop and manage a team of circa 60 employees consisting of Area Managers, Line Leaders, Key Skilled Operatives and Bakery Operatives to consistently deliver high quality products in an efficient and cost-effective manner in a safe and hygienic environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To ensure defined production standards are met
  • Manage, motivate and lead your team to deliver the production plan
  • Ensure customer service levels & KPI's are consistently achieved
  • Ensure all hazards are identified, the risks assessed and all control measures are implemented and maintained
  • Contribute and fully support the Company Health and Safety Policy
  • Lead, develop and inspire your team to attain performance improvement and drive an upward improvement in the skills and performance of all direct reports
  • Liaise with the Technical & Quality Control team to identify quality issues, ensuring all investigations are thorough and appropriate action is taken and recorded with preventative measures in place
  • Maintaining compliance against internal and customer audit requirements
  • Maintain high hygiene standards in line with food safety requirements
  • Control and reduce material wastage usage levels
  • Measure and analyse downtime and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure Company Discipline and Grievance Procedures are followed including conducting investigations, chairing grievance and disciplinary hearings

Essential Experience:

  • Previous FMCG management
  • Proven people management experience
  • Experience in driving Health & Safety culture
  • Experience managing KPI's
  • Experience preparing and supporting the business for audits by major retailers and driving improvement
  • Be hands on, flexible and adaptable with a positive attitude
  • Excellent communication skills

Candidates must have a strong production background gained within a FMCG food environment together with demonstrable experience of values-based leadership, leading production teams across multiple shifts and achieving operational excellence.
