Overview
Country Style Foods are a modern-craft, family run bakery manufacturer and we believe our colleagues make our business what it is. Working closely with leading UK supermarkets and retailers, we specialise in high-volume production of top quality, artisan bakery products. Country Style Foods are growing and having secured new business, are now recruiting for Bakery Production Supervisors (Team Leaders) to join our dedicated and friendly teams on both our Day and Night shifts. You will need to be a team player with previous experience of working as a Supervisor / Team Leader, preferably within food manufacturing and possess good working knowledge of Food Safety with appropriate certification.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of production operatives and charge hands in the efficient operation of your designated area of responsibility.
- Ensure the daily production plan is achieved and communicate any shortfalls or problems to the Front Line managers in a timely manner.
- Inform the Front Line managers immediately and liaise with the Technical department over any relevant quality and food safety issues and/or actions.
- Assist operational management in achieving performance targets set including yield, efficiency, labour, and waste.
- Actively manage team training to upskill and develop.
- Promote departmental teamwork and support colleagues in attaining highest standards of work.
- Ensure all colleagues within your area comply with company and legislative H&S, food safety and personal hygiene procedures and regulations.
- Ensure GMP standards are maintained and good results are achieved on weekly audits by the technical team.
- Accurately report line KPIs to a high level of detail.
- Ensure that all the relevant paperwork is 100% completed and checked.
- Have the ability to provide cover for the shift managers in their absence.
This is not an exhaustive list of duties and you may be required to undertake any other reasonable request as required by your manager. In addition, you will undertake any training that the company deems necessary that may assist you to effectively carry out the above responsibilities.
