What if you could influence how every new Aston Martin is cared for, long before it reaches its first customer? At Aston Martin, creating an extraordinary vehicle is only the beginning. The ownership experience should feel every bit as exceptional as the first moment behind the wheel, and this role will help make sure it does.
We’re looking for a Service Lifecycle Engineer to join our Aftersales team in Gaydon, working at the heart of new vehicle programme development to influence how future Aston Martins are launched, serviced and maintained across our global dealer network. You’ll bring the voice of Aftersales into the development journey from the earliest stages, working closely with Engineering, Programme, Quality and our regional teams to ensure every new vehicle arrives within our dealer network fully supported and ready to deliver the standards our customers expect.
It’s a role with real variety and influence. You could be assessing a future vehicle programme and identifying what our dealer network will need to support it, from workshop information and technical training to new standards and systems. You might be preparing our global network for evolving electric vehicle technologies, supporting vehicle launch activity or working alongside Engineering to make sure serviceability is considered as part of the wider vehicle development process. You’ll also help shape the standards that sit behind our global Aftersales experience, including pre-delivery inspections, vehicle handling and body repair operations. By listening to feedback from our teams and dealer network, you’ll turn real-world insight into meaningful improvements to the systems, processes and technical information our dealers rely on.
And you won’t be doing it alone. You’ll lead a small team, giving them the direction, support and opportunity to develop while creating an environment where people feel empowered to take ownership and deliver their best work.
We’re looking for someone who genuinely understands the automotive Aftersales environment and knows what it takes to successfully bring a new vehicle programme to market. Your experience could span dealer operations, service and maintenance, warranty, new vehicle launches or a combination of these areas, but you’ll bring a strong understanding of modern vehicle architecture alongside confident project management and delivery skills. A BEng degree is required, together with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Experience of EV dealer standards and infrastructure, CAD or working within an automotive OEM environment would be a real advantage.
Just as importantly, you’ll bring ownership and courage. You’ll be comfortable representing the needs of Aftersales across the wider business, challenging constructively when something could be better and building strong relationships with everyone from Engineering and Quality through to our global dealer network and external partners.
This is an opportunity to influence much more than a single vehicle launch. The decisions you help make during development will ultimately shape the experience of Aston Martin technicians, dealer partners and customers around the world. You’ll also gain exposure across Aftersales, Engineering, Quality and Programme, giving you the opportunity to broaden your expertise and build a career that can evolve alongside Aston Martin.
This role is based in Gaydon but there will be occasional travel to other Aston Martin locations, alongside some flexibility for meetings across international time zones.
If you’re an experienced automotive engineer who understands Aftersales, enjoys solving complex problems and wants the opportunity to influence how the next generation of Aston Martin vehicles are supported throughout their lifecycle, we’d love to hear from you.
Please note- this is a Fixed Term Contract position until February 2027.
