The Country Land and Business Association (CLA) is a forward-thinking membership organisation representing land, property and rural businesses across England and Wales. For over 100 years, we have championed the rural economy, with members owning or managing around half of rural land.

We are now looking for an experienced Events Manager to join our Midlands team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Planning and delivering regional member events, seminars, shows and conferences.
  • Coordinating venues, suppliers, bookings, attendee records and on-site arrangements.
  • Managing event administration, budgets and forecasts.
  • Working with colleagues to deliver successful events.
  • Supporting sponsorship activity and commercial partnerships.
  • Maintaining accurate event records and CRM data.
  • Acting as a key contact for members, sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Providing regional office support and assisting with national events where required.

You should be willing to learn, keep up to date with issues affecting CLA members, and understand the CLA’s purpose, products and services.

Experience in a membership organisation, professional services, not-for-profit setting, or working with sponsors would be advantageous but is not essential.

Working arrangements:

This is a full-time, permanent role based at our Midlands office, with a requirement to work in the office at least 3 days per week. Some travel across the Midlands and occasional out-of-hours work or overnight stays will be required. Expenses will be reimbursed, and Time Off In Lieu will be granted for abnormal hours.
