Summary

We are looking for a Housekeeping Deputy Manager to support the Housekeeping Manager in leading our housekeeping operation and maintaining the exceptional standards expected across our venue.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Housekeeping Team Leader, Supervisor or Senior Housekeeper looking to take the next step into management.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the housekeeping team, ensuring bedrooms, public areas and operational spaces are maintained to the highest standard for our couples and guests.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Housekeeping Manager with the day‑to‑day running of the department.
  • Supervise the housekeeping team and lead by example to maintain exceptional cleanliness standards.
  • Assist with rota management, daily task allocation and labour planning.
  • Carry out regular quality checks and room inspections.
  • Support the training, development and onboarding of housekeeping team members.
  • Assist with stock control and ordering of housekeeping supplies.
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.
  • Support with performance management, absence monitoring and employee welfare.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure the venue is prepared for weddings and events.
  • Take responsibility for the department in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager.

  • Previous experience in a housekeeping supervisory or leadership role.
  • Experience within hospitality, hotels, events or venue operations.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and people management abilities.
  • High attention to detail and pride in delivering exceptional standards.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • A hands‑on leader who enjoys motivating and supporting a team.
