We are thrilled to announce a major contract win with Southern Water! We are recruiting for a Mobile Fitter Engineer covering the whole Southern Water area. This is a fantastic opportunity to start a new career with Lanes Group.
Location: Based out of the Tonbridge depot (Tonbridge, Kent) but travelling across all of the Southern Water area which covers Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Job Type: Permanent, full-time. Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 Hours.
Salary: Up to Β£55,000 per annum (made up of basic pay, overtime, on call allowance and bonuses).

Responsibilities:
- Hydraulic and High Pressure Jetting Systems β possess in-depth knowledge of hydraulic systems, maintain and troubleshoot high-pressure jetting systems, conduct regular inspections and testing.
- Vehicle Maintenance β conduct routine inspections and maintenance of the company's fleet of vehicles, especially hydraulic components, diagnose and troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance.
- Repair and Troubleshooting β respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies involving hydraulic and jetting systems, providing on-site repairs, utilise diagnostic tools, collaborate with the wider team to analyse recurring problems and implement preventive measures.
- Legislation and Compliance β stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and industry standards, ensure all maintenance and repair activities comply with health and safety regulations, environmental standards and industry best practices, implement and promote safe working practices, be aware of all Lanes Group policies.
Qualifications:
- Class C+E / HGV Class 2 Driver's Licence β essential.
- Class B Driver's Licence β required.
- Fully recognised industry qualifications (City & Guilds or equivalent).
- Desired: IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications, previous water industry experience, hydraulics experience.
About You: The ideal candidate will be hardworking and respectful, comply with health and safety standards, have a strong background in commercial HGV vehicle servicing, hold a Class B Driving Licence, and fully recognised industry qualifications (City & Guilds or Industry Equivalent), plus Class C+E / HGV Class 2 Licence. IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications would be useful. Previous water industry experience is preferred and hydraulics experience desirable.
