Housekeeper
At Country Creatures we pride ourselves on having beautifully styled rooms, providing luxurious accommodation befitting for our country inns.
We are looking for a housekeeper to work with us to clean and dress the rooms, paying attention to every detail to ensure our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay with us.
To be suitable for this role you will take great pride in your work, working efficiently and productively to ensure every detail is looked after and that all our bedrooms and restaurant rooms are clean, tidy and maintained to a high standard.
You will be proactive and have lots of common sense, addressing issues in the rooms, raising concerns regarding any maintenance issues, upholstery requirements or deep cleans that may be required.
Hours will be variable, and you will be required to be flexible depending on occupancy and rooms usage.
The company provides PPE and suitable equipment as well as training, but the role is physically demanding and will require some lifting and carrying.

- Important Elements
- To clean all the rooms and to support all departments; ensuring the property is looked after and that high standards are maintained throughout the property
- To replenish rooms as per the company SOP’s
- To oversee the cleaning of the Swan Inn loos; working with the FOH team to maintain high standards throughout the day and evenings as per high levels of usage
- To clean bedrooms to a high standard, working efficiently and productively; ensuring checklists are followed, updated and maintained
- To ensure cleaning products used are fit for purpose; to ensure an efficient, excellent clean; ensuring wood/ upholstering, metals, marble or specialist surfaces
- To follow procedures and requirements as per H&S policy and practices, highlighting possible risks and escalating them to the responsible persons
- To work autonomously, taking pride in your work, being careful to follow our company standards whilst being creative and making good common-sense decisions as needed
- To support the team as needed; participating in training as needed
- To manage laundry requirements; ensuring all laundry including kitchen cloths, aprons, napkins and room linen, bedding, towels and any other laundry items are checked in and out to ensure company property is returned etc.
- To manage orders, ensuring room provisions, beauty and bathing products, toilet rolls and all additional room items are available at all times and stocks are managed effectively
- To ensure equipment is used appropriately and always maintained to a high standard
- To work autonomously ensuring compliance with our company’s COSH and Health & Safety Policy and Practices
- Any other additional responsibilities as required by the business
