What will you be doing day to day?

- Lead, manage and inspire the team of experienced practitioners in your room.
- Plan and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate activities to foster learning and creativity.
- Support the nursery management team when required, assisting in the overall management of the nursery.
Responsibilities:
- Work with children aged 1-5 years old to deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum in imaginative and inspiring ways.
- Create and maintain a safe, clean, organised, and enriching learning environment.
- Observe and assess children's behaviour, progress, and development to identify individual needs and plan interventions.
- Collaborate with other educators and professionals to support children's holistic development.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to children's development and learning.
- Assist apprentices in their learning by involving them in your work, supporting their growth, and motivating them to become excellent practitioners.
- Establish strong relationships with families to foster a positive connection between the nursery and home.
- Engage external professionals to enable extra support for children and families in need.
- Establish a sound knowledge of how the nursery runs and support the team when senior management is absent.
Requirements:
- Hold an Early Years qualification and has experience of working with children under 5 years old.
- Passionate about working with children and dedicated to their development and well-being.
- Creative and thrives on thinking outside the box to make learning fun and engaging.
- Knowledgeable about the EYFS framework and child development principles.
- Collaborative team player who enjoys working with others to achieve shared goals.
- Organised and able to plan effectively and stay on top of daily responsibilities.
- Qualified: Holds Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), QTS, or equivalent qualifications.
