Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Chef to join our early years team and help create exciting, nutritional meals and snacks for children. The role focuses on high-quality food preparation, food safety, and contributing to a child-centred kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the preparation of high-quality meals for the children.
- Promote and monitor food hygiene and safety standards, carry out risk assessments, and ensure the kitchen is cleaned to a high standard.
- Take responsibility for the kitchen and its staff; assist with menu planning and ordering.
About You
We want an experienced Chef who is proactive, passionate, and ambitious.
- Friendly and approachable, with contact with the children.
- Experience as a chef in a catering environment.
- Valid food hygiene certificate.
- A passion for producing high-quality food.
- Ability to take initiative and responsibility.
- City & Guilds 7061 or NVQ Level 2 in Catering for the Hospitality Industry.
- Ideally over 3 years of experience as a Chef or in a similar environment and role.
