We are seeking an experienced and driven No.1 Site Manager to lead the delivery of a new-build care home in Grimsby. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for day-to-day site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, to the highest quality standards, and within budget.
About the Site Manager Role
- Take overall ownership of the construction site, managing all on-site activities and resources.
- Drive the build programme, ensuring milestones are achieved and reporting progress to the Contracts Manager.
- Maintain strict control of quality, ensuring works are completed to specification, standards, and client requirements.
- Monitor and manage project costs, working closely with the commercial team to control expenditure and maximise value.
- Lead, coordinate, and motivate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct staff to achieve programme, quality, and cost objectives.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures, maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
- Chair regular site meetings with subcontractors and consultants, providing clear communication and direction.
- Carry out inspections and handovers, ensuring snag-free delivery and client satisfaction.
- Produce and maintain accurate records including site diaries, progress reports, and programme updates.
About You
- Proven experience as a No.1 Site Manager on new-build projects, ideally in the care home, residential, or healthcare sector.
- Strong track record of delivering projects on programme, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
- Excellent knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and best practices.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to monitor and control project costs.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams and stakeholders effectively.
- Sound knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and site compliance.
- Proficiency with construction software, programme management tools, and reporting systems.
- SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), and First Aid qualifications are essential.
