Milner’s at the Country Club of Birmingham is looking for an outgoing, energetic, and reliable bartender. Milner’s is a fast-casual restaurant that is upbeat, fun, and family oriented. It is located off the pool deck with open air seating. We offer high-quality food and beverages quickly and consistently while providing friendly, genuine service to our members.

Schedule: Restaurant is open 7 days weekly, but exact schedule will be discussed upon interview.

Pay Rate: $15-$18/hr plus gratuity.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and serve beverages, including signature cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options, according to CCB recipes and standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including bar top, glassware, and equipment.
  • Confirm drinking age by checking member identification and serve alcohol according to state regulations.
  • Successfully use point of sale system to ring in orders and handle electronic payments.
  • Upsell drinks and food items to enhance guest satisfaction and sales.
  • Restock bar inventory, including spirits, mixers, garnishes, supplies and follow systems in place when retrieving items from main liquor storage.
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • During peak season, provide drink service to the pool deck for members.

Qualifications and Expectations:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of bartending and/or serving experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, beer, and wine.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Able to lift up to 40lbs.
