Requirements and Responsibilities
- Plan seasonal schedules that are coordinated with other activities and approved by the principal.
- All team rosters must be turned in to the principal for approval prior to public posting and periodic eligibility checks must be performed.
- Work to promote the program and its activities by publicising schedules and game results.
- Current sports physicals must be on file with the school office prior to participation in any practices or games. Permission slips must be on file prior to tryouts.
- Sponsor’s presence required during all practices.
- Sponsor presence required in the locker room with the players at all times.
- Sponsor must accompany all team members on the bus and supervise their safe return.
- Supervise the use and inventory of equipment and uniforms and the use of school facilities. Recommend purchases or repairs as needed.
- Report to the principal on all matters of attendance, accidents, eligibility and discipline problems.
- Supervise proper health and safety procedures, including administering emergency first aid.
- Remain on duty supervising students until the building is cleared and students have departed.
