The Role

Please note you must be eligible for government funding for the Level 7 Accountancy Professional Apprenticeship for this role, as you’ll be studying the apprenticeship alongside the role.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive FinOps Associate to support our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting the delivery of timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping & Data Entry: Maintain accurate financial records through timely and accurate data entry across all financial systems.
  • Payroll Administration: Assist in preparing and processing payroll, ensuring all statutory requirements are met.
  • Supplier Payments: Manage supplier payment runs, ensuring payments are processed accurately and on schedule.
  • Management Accounts: Support in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Statutory Accounts: Assist in the preparation of year-end statutory accounts in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • VAT Submissions: Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements and deadlines.
  • Xero Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations in Xero, including bank accounts, supplier statements, and other control accounts.
  • Tax Compliance: Support general tax compliance including preparation of P11Ds and other statutory filings.
