Assistant Head of Faculty – Specialism in Maths (reporting to the Head of Faculty) Required from: 21st August 2026 or January 2027 MPS/UPS + TLR 2 (c) Permanent Full-Time Job Summary Countesthorpe Academy seeks an Assistant Head of Faculty and Maths Lead to support leadership, manage and develop the Mathematics faculty, and lead the delivery of maths across Key Stage 3, 4 and Post 16.
Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the teaching of Maths within the faculty.
Monitor the quality of provision and support teacher development.
Work collaboratively with the Headteacher and Head of Faculty on curriculum and assessment.
Carry out other duties reasonably assigned by the Headteacher and Head of Faculty.
Qualifications and Experience Experience as a Maths teacher with a proven track record of leading in Maths with strong outcomes.
Strong understanding of Maths curriculum across Key Stage 3, 4 and Post 16.
Excellent organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and raise aspirations.
Stamina, enthusiasm and a sense of humour.
