Job overview
Working Part time: 28.5 hours per week. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join one of our Community Response Hubs covering Cheshire West and Chester. Based in a community setting, you will be part of a large team providing care and support to service users within their own homes.
Applicants must have HCPC registration and be able to demonstrate they have successfully completed a broad range of placements across clinical areas as a student or at Band 5 grade within the NHS. Good time management skills, organisational skills and an ability to work autonomously under pressure are essential requirements for this post.
Main duties of the job
- To work as an autonomous practitioner to perform therapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations.
- To communicate empathetically with patients with complex clinical presentations, explaining their clinical diagnosis and treatment programmes. Ensure that patients understand this and answer any queries they may have in relation to their diagnosis and treatment plan.
- To use clinical reasoning to provide a diagnosis and develop, deliver and adapt individualised treatment programmes.
- To contribute to monitoring and evaluation of treatment in order to measure progress and outcomes to ensure effectiveness of interventions and service delivery.
