Working Full or Part-time hours
We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Newly Qualified Midwives and student Midwives due to qualify this year to join our supportive Midwifery Team.
For NQMs, we offer a bespoke preceptorship program delivered by a Preceptor Midwife, supported by the Practice Development Midwife and Managers. The rotational position allows skill and knowledge development across all maternity areas, including a rotation to the community. Our preceptorship program has received excellent feedback and has improved retention rates.
We are also excited to announce the opening of our new Women and Children\’s building planned for September.
Main duties of the job
- Work autonomously within guidelines and Sphere of Professional Practice within a designated area, responsible for comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for women and their babies.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with women and their families.
- Collect, collate, and report information, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations.
- Involve women and their families in care planning and delivery.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines for oneself and others.
- Provide health promotion and social care advice during antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods in various settings.
