The Countess of Chester Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacy technician to join the Medicines Management Team. The successful applicant will be required to provide accurate and detailed data relating to medicines finance and will regularly communicate with suppliers to resolve discrepancies with invoices.
You will support the wider pharmacy team in the delivery of agreed Cost Improvement Program (CIP) switches and be responsible for managing off-contract claims processes. Working with colleagues from pharmacy procurement, finance, IT and the homecare team you will provide medicines management support for the Trust and external customers. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your technical skills further.
Experience in pharmacy purchasing, finance, homecare services or pharmacy IT systems would be an advantage but is not essential. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the provision of financial services relating to medicines use for the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
- Monitoring and analysing financial data provided to internal and external sources.
- Supporting the Medicines Management Team in implementing approved policies and procedures relating to the use of medicines.
- Performing a variety of pharmaceutical technical duties relating to the procurement, preparation, dispensing and supply of medicines.
- Co-operating with all pharmacy staff in providing and developing an efficient and comprehensive pharmaceutical service under the direction of senior pharmacy management.
