Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We seek a dedicated individual for the role of HSDU Deputy & Quality Manager in our Sterile Services Department. This key role involves developing and maintaining quality assurance and production control systems to ensure the safe manufacture of sterile surgical instrument sets and packs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance and production control systems.
  • Coordinate with service users to meet service agreements and quality targets.
  • Support the department manager in daily management and oversee operations in their absence.
  • Ensure timely quality checks, accurate recording, and corrective actions.
  • Foster continuous improvement through customer engagement and feedback.

Main duties of the job

Ensure quality assurance in cleaning and sterilisation of surgical instruments, conduct routine equipment tests, and maintain ISO accreditation. Participate in audits, manage quality records, and develop staff training to uphold standards and compliance.

Responsibilities include managing corrective actions, liaising with external bodies, preparing management reports, updating procedures, and maintaining organizational documentation.

Monitor raw materials, perform departmental audits, ensure effective processes through sampling, participate in sterile supply production, and maintain quality records. Develop staff training and act promptly to resolve discrepancies, supporting the department’s IT Traceability system.
