Job overview
Working Part time: 36 hours per week. An exciting new post is now available for a band 2 Housekeeper to work alongside our established housekeeper in the Emergency Department at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to carry out various tasks such as monitoring and supporting patients with their menu choices, liaising with nurses and other multi-disciplinary team members in the unit, ensuring patients are provided with supplies as needed, daily and weekly stock checking, maintaining equipment and dealing with maintenance issues. The post holder will be responsible for generally keeping the ED environment in a tidy, uncluttered and safe state at all times. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills as part of the role will be making and receiving telephone calls. The post holder must have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. A positive and enthusiastic attitude is essential; experience as a housekeeper is desirable.
