Working Full time: 37.5 hours per week
This is an exciting opportunity to undertake a 6-month fixed term secondment, joining a small, dedicated team of Resuscitation Officers committed to improving outcomes for patients experiencing cardiac arrest or acute medical emergencies. The post holder will support the development and delivery of an effective Trust-wide Resuscitation Service across the Countess of Chester Hospital (COCH) and Ellesmere Port Hospital (EPH) sites.
The secondment would be suitable for an experienced band 5 or 6 staff member, with an interest in developing their knowledge of resuscitation and clinical education. The banding would be dependent on presently held qualifications and experience of resuscitation practice.
Main duties of the job
Contribute to the development, coordination, and delivery of an effective Resuscitation Service across the Trust.
Support the provision of high-quality theoretical and practical resuscitation training programmes under the guidance of the Resuscitation Officers.
Ensure Trust resuscitation equipment is fully checked, maintained, and ready for use by utilising IT systems such as My Kit Check and the Defib Dashboard.
Assist the Resuscitation Officers with the organisation and delivery of national training courses, including setting up and dismantling equipment, and working flexible hours when required.
Provide advice, guidance, and support to staff regarding resuscitation training, equipment queries, and concerns raised during clinical practice.
Recognise and respond to the emotional and educational needs of staff undertaking resuscitation procedures, offering appropriate support and reassurance.
