We are looking for applicants to join an expanding team of Acute Medicine Consultants who are interested in progressing our journey of service development and innovative working within Acute Medicine. The role is full‑time with 10 sessions per week, but applicants wishing to work flexibly or on a less than full‑time basis are welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading ward rounds on the AMU and supporting junior doctors and the multi‑disciplinary team.
- Post‑taking patients within ED and SDEC.
- Supervision of patients returning to SDEC (ambulatory clinic).
- Acute Medicine outpatients management.
- Educational and clinical supervision of junior doctors.
- Attendance and input into departmental and medical meetings.
Qualifications
Applicants should be able to demonstrate extensive experience in Acute Medicine. Candidates who have experience in Acute Medicine and another specialty are encouraged to apply.
Locations
- Countess of Chester Hospital – 473 general and acute beds.
- Ellesmere Port Hospital – 60 beds as a rehabilitation, intermediate and outpatient facility.
- Tarporley War Memorial Hospital – base for community services serving the local rural population.
