We’re Counterpoint – a fast-growing IT support and consultancy firm based in Worthing. We work with creative businesses, schools, and charities across the UK, delivering modern, reliable IT solutions that work for real people.
Our clients use a mix of Apple and Microsoft technologies, and we’re proud to offer strong support across both platforms. While we’re known for our Mac expertise, many of our client environments are Microsoft-first — and this role will focus on delivering expert support in Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure AD and Windows 11, while also contributing to Mac support where needed.
You’ll join a capable, close-knit team that values clarity, quality and a calm, user-friendly approach.
As an IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering on-site and remote support to both internal users and external clients. You’ll be supporting a mix of Windows and Apple devices, primarily within cloud-based environments (Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace), as well as some hybrid infrastructure.
This is a practical technical role with a strong service ethic — you will be expected to manage tickets, communicate clearly, and work with the team to maintain high support standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide 1st and 2nd line support for Windows 11 and macOS devices
- Administer Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID)
- Support Intune and Azure Active Directory environments
- Maintain backup, endpoint protection and remote monitoring tools
- Troubleshoot software, connectivity and device issues
- Assist with onboarding new clients and provisioning new devices
- Document support work clearly in our ticketing system
- Deliver on-site support at client locations when required
- Support internal IT needs and collaborate on internal projects
You’re technically capable, good with people, and confident in a modern Microsoft support environment — but you also bring a willingness to work across platforms. You enjoy solving problems properly, not papering over the cracks.
Essential Skills & Experience:- At least 2 years’ IT support experience in a business or education setting
- Strong knowledge of Windows 11 desktop environments
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 administration
- Comfortable working with Intune and Azure Active Directory
- Good general troubleshooting skills across hardware, software and connectivity
- Clear, concise communication – both written and verbal
- A full UK driving licence and comfort with travelling to client sites
- Experience supporting macOS devices in a business environment
- Familiarity with MDM or RMM platforms
- Exposure to Google Workspace administration
- PowerShell scripting or automation knowledge
- Microsoft or Apple certifications
- £28,000 – £32,000 depending on experience
- Company pension
- Training and certification support (Microsoft and Apple)
- A supportive, friendly team culture
- Exposure to a wide variety of tools, clients and environments
- Office-based role in Worthing with site visits as needed
- Mileage or company vehicle for client travel
