Information About The Role
Help us make sure our fleet is always ready to roll.
Keeping our fleet in good condition takes a skilled and dedicated team. As a Resources Fleet Assistant, you’ll work with a wide range of high-spec vehicles in a varied hands-on role.
Our officers need all kinds of vehicles to do their jobs every day. You’ll make sure that each one is clean, inside and out, and in good repair. It’s important these vehicles are ready whenever they’re needed, so you’ll be conducting under-bonnet checks, inspecting equipment, and recording key data such as mileage readings.
You’ll also be responsible for collecting and delivering vehicles to stakeholders as a service provider, which means you’ll be driving cars and other vehicles to various locations. This may occasionally involve working away from home.
Responsibilities
- Wash exterior and interior of motor vehicles.
- Inspect vehicles for visual damage and overall condition, ensuring any damage is properly recorded according to MPS instructions. Arrange repairs with the vehicle maintainer if necessary.
- Conduct maintenance checks, such as under-bonnet checks on engine oil, coolant, and windscreen washer fluid levels.
- Inspect vehicles upon return to ensure they are in acceptable condition before completing delivery documentation.
