As Personal Assistant to the Interventions capability lead, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the National Interventions network and CTPHQ Interventions senior leadership in the delivery of The National Counter Terrorism Strategy. Activities include day to day management of the capability leads diary, proactive problem solving, responding to high volume queries, and liaising with key stakeholders including partners in CTP, wider Policing and other public sector bodies. The post holder will report to Sergeant Staff Officer and together form the Head of Interventions Private Office. This role is a unique and challenging developmental opportunity in a high profile and critical area of the police service’s work. The role suits individuals with excellent organisational and communication skills who bring a proactive approach alongside a good understanding of both front line policing and the national CT environment.
Responsibilities Key Tasks
- Provide comprehensive diary management, meeting coordination and travel arrangements for the Head of Interventions, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
- Maintaining general oversight of the Head of Interventions overall business, particularly when out of office, thereby ensuring an ongoing awareness of key issues and activity.
- Collating and organising key papers on behalf of the Head of Interventions.
- Processing key meeting papers for the Head of Interventions to ensure ongoing management of business.
- Plan and organise the Head of Interventions activities in line with priorities and deadlines, alongside the Staff Officer, managing a large number of requests and queries simultaneously with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to take minutes and actions during meetings/capability boards/conferences led by Head of Interventions.
- The post holder must be able to travel within the UK which will involve overnight stays during Interventions Capability Boards and Head of Interventions Regional Engagement Visits.
