To lead and manage a small team providing Computer Aided Resource Management System (CARMS) support services to Counter Terrorism Policing. The postholder will act as the focal point for duty planning, roster management, overtime administration and workforce management information, ensuring compliance with Police Regulations and organisational policies. The role will provide leadership, guidance and training to managers and staff whilst delivering accurate reporting and analysis to support operational and strategic workforce planning. Based in West Brompton, with the potential for some hybrid working subject to business need, there may be occasions when travel across the wider MPS estate is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a small team of Resource Management Administrators, providing day-to-day supervision, guidance, support and development.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for CARMS, duty planning and workforce management processes.
  • Ensure the effective administration and governance of police rosters, duty changes, annual leave, overtime, TOIL and rest day management.
  • Monitor, produce, analyse and distribute regular CARMS management information reports to support operational and strategic decision making, including but not limited to: identifying trends, anomalies and risks within workforce management data and escalate issues where appropriate.
