Investigative Support Officer – Police Staff – Counter Terrorism Policing NE

Within the department, you will be an integral part of an Investigation Team and will be responsible for the submission of complex files to the Crown Prosecution Service and the progression of cases through the criminal justice system.

Candidates require a good working knowledge of the principles of Disclosure (Criminal Procedures Investigation Act 1996) and will be a holder of CILex Certificate of Criminal Justice or equivalent (e.g. ISA portfolio, Law Degree or A Level law). Also be prepared, if not already done so, to complete the CILEX specialist course in disclosure and ISO portfolio.

Candidates are also required to successfully complete other relevant training courses relevant to the role, and have good working knowledge in the use of application of computer systems.
