Information about the role:
Work as part of a small team, in conjunction with the four thematic teams of CBRN Training & CPD, Capabilities, Operations, and Performance & Development. Support, strengthen, and assure the police response to CBRN terrorism. Contribute to the ongoing development of the National CBRN Centre by designing, delivering, evaluating, and quality assuring training materials to maintain the highest standards. You should be personable, flexible, and approachable, taking responsibility for managing situations, leading by example, and demonstrating commitment and determination to succeed.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and develop the multi-agency service’s capability to respond to CBRN terrorism and contribute to the overall vision and mission of the N CBRN C, including delivering the Centre’s CBRN training & CPD programme to Home Office forces, other organisations, and partner agencies.
- Develop, design, deliver, evaluate, and quality assure training & CPD materials to promote individual learning.
- Ensure quality in training and development programmes through the delivery of cost-effective training supporting the CBRN strategy.
- Make day-to-day decisions within the classroom environment.
- Maintain and develop a high level of subject knowledge in training, CPD, and operational demands.
- Build and develop relationships with external agencies and suppliers.
- Develop and maintain senior-level relationships.
- Undertake any duties assigned by line managers or management colleagues.
- Be aware of and comply with policies on Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, and Data Protection, adhering to legislation and standards of ethics and good practice.
