Requirements
- Good experience of network and infrastructure monitoring tools.
- Experience of VOIP and video conferencing.
- Experience of converged infrastructure and network virtualisation.
- Experience of network design and documentation.
- Experience of load balancer technologies.
- Experience of network hardening and security best practice.
- Experience of PKI and encryption technologies.
- Experience of failover testing, resilience and redundancy methodology.
- Experience of working within an ITIL service environment, working to defined metrics and SLAs.
- Preferred Cisco CCNP equivalent qualification.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for national infrastructure relating to BAU and projects to help ensure objectives are met in line with our priorities.
- Focus on improving internal systems.
- Manage, prioritise and escalate your workload appropriately.
- Ensure adherence to required policies, standards, controls and best practice.
- Ensure SLAs for services are met.
- Create and maintain technical documentation so services are maintained and knowledge is shared.
- Proactively maintain and update the infrastructure to ensure security and reliability.
- Proactively monitor environments to help prevent issues arising.
- Follow security procedures to comply with relevant accreditation, procedures and guidance.
- Support and mentor other team members to help build a strong support service.

This is an office-based role with occasional home-working options, and our shift structure allows compressed hours over a 4-day week.
