About the Business

A brilliant opportunity to join an established, multi-entity group as an Assistant Management Accountant. This is a broad, hands-on role within a collaborative finance team, working closely alongside the Senior Finance Manager and gaining genuine exposure across month-end, reporting, billing and audit. It’s a great chance to take real ownership of your work while building a varied skill set in a supportive group environment.

Main Duties

  • Taking ownership of the month-end close, including posting accruals and prepayments and carrying out variance analysis.
  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts and flagging any concerns to the Senior Finance Manager.
  • Preparing and distributing the monthly management accounts, and resolving any queries that come back from the business.
  • Raising, reconciling and settling intercompany recharges across the group in a timely manner.
  • Partnering with operations and department managers to support effective budget management and tailored reporting.
  • Managing the import and processing of company credit card transactions.
  • Raising invoices in line with agreed billing schedules.
  • Supporting the Senior Finance Manager with the monthly delivery partner billing process and pulling together supporting reporting packs.
  • Producing ad-hoc analysis, reporting and administration as the business requires.
  • Contributing to the annual audit – preparing financial schedules and responding to auditor queries.

What We Are Looking For

  • AAT Level 4 qualified, equivalent, or studying ACCA/CIMA.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accounts or finance assistant role, ideally within a multi-entity or group structure.
  • A strong grasp of month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • A sound understanding of accounting principles within an industry setting.
  • Self-motivated, well organised and able to plan and manage your own workload.
  • Comfortable handling a varied workload under pressure and delivering to agreed deadlines.
