An excellent opportunity for a Head of Financial Reporting on a day rate contract basis, paying £400 - £550 per day (depending on experience). The initial term is 6 months, with a strong possibility of extension or a permanent position for the right candidate. The role is based in Droitwich with a well-established Group Services function, operating within the outsourcing business. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills under the guidance of a supportive and experienced senior Chief Finance Officer.
This is an opportunity to lead and develop the financial reporting strategy and ensure robust financial controls across the Group, which operates within a complex and regulated environment.
Main DutiesAs the Head of Financial Reporting, your key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the Financial Reporting Team: Directing the centralized Financial Reporting team to deliver timely, accurate, and cost-effective services, including the preparation of management and statutory accounts, to meet the Group's needs and guarantee adherence to regulatory standards.
- Supporting Financial Performance Management: Ensuring Senior Business Managers effectively manage financial performance to minimize risk and optimize operational efficiency in line with Group objectives.
- Providing Financial Guidance and Advice: Offering clear guidance, advice, and support on financial management, ensuring compliance with Group policy, relevant legislation, and best practice to drive strong financial performance.
- Maintaining Financial Controls: Reviewing, implementing, and maintaining financial control systems and policies to ensure compliance with required legislation and best practice, and to enhance financial performance.
- Reporting to Key Stakeholders: Reporting and presenting financial information to Group Executives, Directors, and other key stakeholders to support informed decision-making, business planning, and compliance with financial standing orders.
- Developing External Relationships: Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and investors to ensure efficient service delivery, compliance with regulatory requirements, and to attract and retain appropriate credit ratings.
- Managing Staff Performance and Development: Managing the recruitment, performance management, and professional development of skilled staff to ensure the availability of qualified personnel to achieve performance improvements in line with key performance indicators and strategies.
- Contributing to Special Projects: Contributing, as needed, to special projects and change programmes that support the Group's broader objectives.

What We Are Looking ForThe ideal candidate will possess:
- A relevant professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).

- Knowledge of integrated financial systems (SAP desirable).
