Main Duties:

As the Financial Controller, your main responsibilities will include:

• Managing all finance and accounting operations including monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, stock accounting and payroll
• Leading a team of five within the finance department
• Preparing timely and accurate monthly financial statements
• Coordinating budget creation and financial forecasting
• Handling quarterly VAT returns and compliance with tax law
• Overseeing the audit process and statutory accounts
• Driving improvements to financial operations and systems
• Managing cash flow, debt, and collection
• Supporting the Board with financial strategy and high-level decision-making

Location / Office / Culture

You will be based in the company’s office near Kidderminster, working with a friendly and collaborative team. The business promotes a strong culture of internal development and values its people highly.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

• Be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Have experience in the preparation of management accounts, budgets, and year-end financial statements
• Be confident in managing and developing staff
• Have excellent knowledge of accounting standards, VAT and PAYE systems
• Demonstrate strong Excel and IT skills
• Be proactive, organised and able to influence across all levels of the business
