An opportunity to be a Finance Manager for a charity based in Longbridge. This is a great opportunity to become a part of a business that makes a real difference to people’s lives.

Main Duties:

  • Oversee the financial oversight, including Trading, Engagement, and Operations.
  • Collaborate with the Group Director, Associate Directors of Finance, and Group Management Team to deliver necessary financial data and assist in budget preparation.
  • Pinpoint key financial performance indicators and generate performance reports for trading, fundraising, and critical departments.
  • Integrate locally prepared budgets into a unified group budget, ensuring compliance with corporate deadlines.
  • Take charge of budget planning, reforecasting, cash flow estimates, currency exchange calculations, and periodic financial reporting for the International UK office and country offices abroad.
  • Coach and support finance teams based in the UK and overseas, ensuring efficiency, responsiveness, and alignment with Sense International (SI) and country programme requirements.
  • Offer training and ongoing assistance on financial policies to Budget Holders, ensuring compliance with established financial guidelines.
  • Ensure adherence to donor requirements and regulations (FCDO and other public grants) while guiding country programme teams on financial and compliance-related issues.
  • Work with internal and external auditors to guarantee thorough financial auditing of UK and international operations.
  • Facilitate international transactions and payments, ensuring effective processes.
  • Oversee foreign currency management to ensure operational financial stability internationally.
  • Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports to support both national and international projects and initiatives.

Location / Office / Culture

This role is hybrid, with only 2/3 days in the offices in Longbridge. You will be working within a welcoming and diverse company that has really good training and development opportunities.

What We Are Looking For

  • Previous knowledge of Charity Finance
  • Experience at a Senior Management Level
  • Experience with Management and Statutory accounts
