The founders, Alex and Laura, have extensive backgrounds in finance and are in the process of raising pre-seed funding. We are now looking for an exceptionally talented Senior Software Engineer who is comfortable being both hands-on and a strong architect, with the opportunity to grow as the company grows. This is a pivotal role, where you will collaborate closely with the founders and assume responsibility as a key member of the team. This role reports directly to the CTO. What you can expect:
- We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to own and drive the platform development and operational excellence of Count. We offer a remote-first, full-time role.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
- Expertise in Node.js, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Git, and Agile methodologies
- Strong experience with Node/Express.js
- Strong experience with React
- Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, specifically S3, SNS, SQS
- Substantial software development and architecture experience
- Understanding of RESTful API best practices and microservices
- Demonstrated success building highly elegant, scalable, and responsive applications for consumers
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Python
- Experience with React Native / Expo
- Exposure to Postgres
- Experience with Next.js
- Experience with fintech or the financial industry is a plus
