I’m currently partnering with a Local Authority in Lancashire to recruit an experienced Housing Advisory Officer for an initial 12-month contract. This is a great opportunity to join a supportive team delivering essential housing advice and homelessness prevention services to local residents.
The Role
- Managing a caseload across prevention & relief duties
- Assessing applications under the Homelessness Reduction Act (HRA 2017)
- Creating and delivering Personalised Housing Plans (PHPs)
- Supporting vulnerable individuals with tailored housing advice
- Independently booking and managing Temporary Accommodation
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in housing options / housing advice
- Prior local authority experience is essential
- Proven track record handling homelessness cases
- Experience using Abritas (or similar systems)
- Confident managing TA placements and complex caseloads
Working Pattern
- First 4 weeks: Fully onsite (Lancashire)
- Then: 3 days onsite / hybrid working
