Are you a motivated individual who is passionate about delivering services that promote physical activity? Active Scilly are looking to recruit new casual team members to ensure Normandy Pool and the wider services can offer a varied timetable for the community.
It is desirable for candidates to hold a current first aid certificate and an RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ). Candidates must be at least 16 years old and must be available to attend monthly training sessions, to keep their lifeguarding and first-aid skills up to date, and commit to working a minimum of two shifts per month. Candidates who do not already hold their NPLQ must be committed to achieving this qualification within three months of appointment.
Candidates must be water confident and be able to swim 100m of both front crawl and breaststroke at speed, be able to collect a brick from the deepest part of the pool, tread water for 30 seconds and be able to climb out of the pool unaided (this will be tested at interview stage).
