CHRGS is expanding its national network of experienced Locum Clerks to support councils during periods of transition, growth, or short-term capacity gaps. If you’re an accomplished Clerk who enjoys variety, autonomy, and purposeful work, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong experience as a Parish, Town or Community Clerk, with the confidence to step into a role quickly and independently
  • Ideally CiLCA qualified
  • Confidence managing statutory duties, governance, agendas, minutes, finance liaison, and member support
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new councils and build rapport
  • Clear communication, sound judgement, and strong organisational skills

We also welcome candidates with significant local government management experience who can demonstrate transferable governance and leadership capability.
