Salary: Β£23,133 per annum, pro rata

Contract: Part time, Permanent

Farms for City Children offers children and young people a week in the heart of the British countryside staying on one of our farms, where they are immersed in the natural world of food, farming, and country life. During their stay, they participate in the seasonal tasks of the day: sowing, growing and harvesting in our kitchen gardens, caring for livestock and looking after the land, and a variety of tasks designed to build greater connection with the natural world.

About the Role:

Farms for City Children are looking for two three-day Kitchen Assistants to join their friendly team on our Gloucestershire farm. The two roles will cover 42 hours per week and they may be able to give some flexibility about how these hours are divided between two candidates. When applying please let us know your preferred number of hours and days.

This is a hands-on role supporting the efficient running of a busy kitchen, responsible for preparing food and supporting sessions for groups of beneficiary children at Wick Court. There is also opportunity to support growing in the garden, work outside on the farm and support family events.

The Kitchen Assistant plays an important role within their farm to fork offer, and alongside the Kitchen Manager will prepare meals for up to 40 guests a week.

In return you will receive a starting salary of Β£22,223 and a range of benefits, which include:
