The Council for Catholic Maintained Schools (CCMS) in Lisburn is seeking to appoint a Planning & Development Officer to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to develop, manage and implement the planning and development of the school estate to meet the needs of all users through:

  • Estate planning, development and implementation
  • Supporting the delivery of effective and efficient services
  • Delivering projects successfully
  • Team working and partnership working including providing support to Principals and Boards of Governors
  • Contributing to policy and strategy including supporting the development and delivery of CCMS statutory duty in relation to Area Planning

Essential Criteria:

  • At commencement of appointment applicants must have a Degree in Project Management or a Construction related discipline
  • Experience and use of Computer Aided Design (CAD)
  • Applicants graduating in July 2026 will meet this essential criterion

Desirable Criteria:

  • Demonstrate experience in estate planning and/or estate management
  • Have a minimum of one year's post-graduation experience in each of the following areas: Project management, including the delivery of capital projects
  • Working with the NEC3 Suite of Contracts
  • Demonstrate experience working within the education sector and/or wider public sector
