Our client, a well-established Law business based in Peterborough, is looking to recruit a Commercial Property Solicitor to join their team on a permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to join an established team where you will play an important role providing legal advice within your area of expertise to clients and the Firm and assist in the business development in the Commercial Property Team.
Key responsibilities:
- Acquisitions and disposals of commercial freehold and leasehold properties;
- Handling landlord and tenant issues;
- Dealing with commercial leasing matters such as grants of new leases, renewals, extensions, and assignments;
- Providing advice to both borrowers and lenders on property finance arrangements;
- Maintaining the highest standards of legal practice while ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal procedures;
- Taking responsibility for ongoing professional development by completing relevant CPD and proactively identifying any areas for further training;
- Meeting financial performance targets in relation to time recording and billing, while effectively managing client accounts and overseeing credit control where required;
- Working independently as a competent fee earner, whilst also contributing positively as part of the wider team;
- Supporting the continued growth of the team and firm by attending networking opportunities, building relationships with key contacts and referrers, and developing your professional reputation;
- Demonstrating a strong commitment to client care by building lasting relationships and always acting in the best interests of clients.
Skills and experience:
- Demonstrates strong technical expertise and a solid understanding of Commercial Property law;
- Possesses excellent interpersonal skills, with a determined and enthusiastic approach to delivering a high standard of service;
- Shows a proactive interest in staying up to date with developments in legislation, practice, and procedures;
- Communicates clearly and effectively in plain English, both in writing and verbally;
- Displays a genuine commitment to contributing to a dynamic and growing team, supporting the continued success and development of both the team and the wider firm.
