The predicted salary is between 35000 - 45000 £ per year.

This is a full-time, on-site Structural Engineer role based in Canwell, Sutton Coldfield. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for carrying out structural analysis and design for a variety of building and infrastructure projects, preparing design calculations, and producing clear drawings and specifications.

Day-to-day activities include reviewing project requirements, coordinating with other engineers and technicians, and using CAD and 3D design software to develop efficient and buildable solutions. The role also involves liaising with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders, attending site visits and meetings, and supporting the delivery of projects from initial concept through to completion.

The Structural Engineer will contribute to technical reviews, ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards, and assist with quality assurance and documentation.

Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to building and infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in Structural Analysis and engineering Calculations, including the use of relevant design codes and standards.
  • Competence in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and, ideally, 3D structural modelling and detailing software.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil or Structural Engineering from a UK University.
  • Progress toward professional registration (e.g., chartered or incorporated engineer) or willingness to work toward it.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage time and priorities across multiple projects.
  • Experience in one or more of the practice’s key sectors (such as education, residential, commercial, or healthcare) is an advantage.
