RESPONSIBILITIESAs our Shift Engineer you are responsible for assisting with all aspects of machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and breakdowns. You will proactively manage preventative maintenance, ensuring productive execution of required maintenance during downtime, focusing on supporting the continued smooth running of operations.
Your main focus:- Working in our manufacturing department in a small team, carrying out preventative maintenance tasks as per schedules.
- Ensuring smooth running of the Manufacturing department ensuring breakdowns are resolved with minimal impact to operations in a timely manner. Examples of common mechanical breakdowns include steam & water jacketed vessels, agitators, gearboxes, drive systems. Electrical breakdowns could include control systems, safety circuits, inverter drives, motor control systems.
- Working closely with the area supervisors & managers to ensure priorities are being followed and downtime is minimised.

You will work closely with the manufacturing department. Your colleagues range from recently qualified apprentices to those with 30 years of tenure. YOU ARE A COTY FITYou like to know how equipment works, are keen to learn new tasks and think on your feet when problem solving. As a Shift Engineer, you will have completed an engineering apprenticeship ideally in FMCG or Pharmaceutical environment where you will be familiar with GMP & EHS standards expected. You get energy from working in a fast-paced, diverse and international environment. Other than that, you:
- Are open to a diverse workplace and love to work in a team.
- Have an excellent understanding of customer expectations and deliverables and the desire to produce good quality products.
- Have the ability to work well in a team.
- Understand compliance and quality assurance guidelines and best practices.
- Are familiar with processes for engineering change requests and engineering change orders.
- Have sound fault-finding capability.
