You will drive growth, maximise distribution and visibility, and deliver best-in‑class in‑store and online execution in a highly competitive and operationally demanding retail environment.

The Role

Optimize, Enable, Innovate! As our National Account Manager – Sainsbury’s, you play a critical role in owning the Sainsbury’s relationship end‑to‑end, driving joint value creation, maximising category performance, and delivering strong commercial execution across a large and complex estate of stores. This is a highly numbers‑driven role, focused on delivering volume growth, improving distribution, optimising promotions, and ensuring best‑in‑class execution across hundreds of doors.

  • Own and elevate the strategic partnership with Sainsbury’s, a key high‑volume retail partner for Coty’s mass portfolio.
  • Lead joint business planning, aligning Coty’s commercial goals with Sainsbury’s category and shopper priorities.
  • Shape activation plans across in‑store and online, ensuring strong visibility, availability, and execution at scale.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to deliver consistent execution across supply, merchandising, and promotional activity.
  • Drive impactful launch strategies and distribution expansion to maximise reach and performance across the estate.

Negotiation and Commercial Performance

  • Lead negotiations on listings, pricing, promotions, and space, with a clear focus on driving volume, revenue, and market share growth.
  • Optimise promotional strategies to balance volume delivery with profitability and ROI.
  • Leverage data, insights, and store‑level performance to identify opportunities and drive improvements.
  • Track performance rigorously and translate insights into clear actions to improve distribution, availability, and sell‑out.
  • Act as the voice of Sainsbury’s internally, ensuring strong alignment and focus on key performance drivers.

Financial Ownership and Operational Excellence

  • Own full P&L for Sainsbury’s, delivering against sales, profit, and market share targets.
  • Manage accurate forecasting aligned to promotional cycles, seasonal peaks, and trading plans.
  • Optimise investment strategy to maximise ROI and deliver strong commercial returns.
  • Ensure excellence in execution across availability, supply chain, and in‑store presence, minimising lost sales opportunities.
  • Drive strong financial discipline including budgeting, accruals, and receivables management.

You are data‑led, results‑focused, and highly organised, with a strong ability to manage complexity, prioritise effectively, and deliver consistent growth across a large and demanding retail account.

  • Proven experience as a National/Key Account Manager in FMCG or consumer goods.
  • Strong experience managing major UK grocery or high‑volume retail accounts.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, distribution, and promotional planning.
  • Advanced negotiation and relationship‑building skills with senior stakeholders.
