FACILITIES ENGINEER – ASHFORD

ALTERNATING SHIFT PATTERN: 6-2 AND 1-9 MONDAY – FRIDAY. BASIC SALARY PLUS SHIFT ALLOWANCE. Our manufacturing site, located in Ashford, is the home of engineers, scientists, technicians, and product developers to name just a few. Being the starting point of the UK&I supply chain, it’s where the magic happens! From weighing and mixing raw materials to filling and packing product components, Coty Ashford is proudly manufacturing and producing all coloured cosmetics for some of the global leaders in the beauty industry, such as Gucci, Burberry, Rimmel, Max Factor, and Bourjois. Responsibilities

As our Facilities Engineer you will support the Ashford factory Facilities Engineering function with day-to-day Engineering duties, routine and planned maintenance, contractor supervision, maintain Engineering budgets and Capital Projects.

Your main focus:

  • Attend regular team meeting reviews with the Facilities Leadership Team to determine consistent and agreed working methods are adopted in relation to: equipment safety, Engineering procedures and practices and equipment/parts standardization.
  • Assist in improving the current maintenance strategy for the range of assets within the Value Stream. Control this using the Planned Preventative Maintenance review system.
  • Work in conjunction with the Facilities Manager to introduce new equipment and system requirements, ensuring that facilities effectively meet the evolving business needs of the site.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained on a scheduled basis, and that new equipment/tooling guarantees all products produced meet the required quality specifications. Provide engineering support for the continuous improvement of product quality.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and adhere to all processes, procedures and guidelines in place.

The team consists of 1x Facilities Manager, 2x Facilities Engineers and 1x Facilities Administrator. You will work closely with the wider Projects team and Engineering Team, as well as the other key departments on site. All your colleagues are experienced in their field and are a supportive well informed close knit team, supporting each other with Knowledge sharing and are a happy group of individuals.

You like to be kept busy and are pro-active. As an experienced Facilities Engineer you are organised and you get energy from working in a fast-paced, diverse and international environment. Other than that, you:

  • Have experience in a Facilities Maintenance department
  • Experience in the Manufacturing industry would be preferable, although we are open to other industries
  • Multi-skilled or Electrical bias would be preferred however we are also open to Mechanical bias experience
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
