Our manufacturing site, located in Ashford, is the home of engineers, scientists, technicians, and product developers. Being the starting point of the UK&I supply chain, it’s where the magic happens! From weighing and mixing raw materials to filling and packing product components, Coty Ashford is proudly manufacturing and producing all coloured cosmetics for some of the global leaders in the beauty industry, such as Rimmel, Max Factor, Burberry, Gucci and Bourjois. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead industrialisation and scale-up of new products from lab to bulk manufacturing and filling.
- Own and manage critical path timelines for all industrialisation projects, ensuring on-time delivery.
- Ensure full compliance with HSE, Quality, GLP and GMP standards (ISO 22716 / ISO 9001).
- Lead, coach and performance-manage industrialisation chemists and technicians, building capability and accountability.
- Develop and approve bulk specifications in collaboration with R&D.
- Drive right-first-time manufacturing through colour optimisation, process control and problem-solving.
- Ensure efficient bulk manufacturing, filling and compounding with a strong focus on cycle times.
- Investigate out-of-specification results, lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Act as a key technical partner to Manufacturing, Quality and Site Leadership.
- Represent Industrial Chemistry in cross-functional meetings, audits and project forums.
- Manage departmental overheads and approve consumables and maintenance spend.
- Lead continuous improvement and lean initiatives across industrialisation activities.

YOU ARE A COTY FIT
- You are a confident, hands-on leader with deep industrialisation expertise and a strong bias for action.
- You simplify complexity, make clear decisions under pressure, and raise the performance of people and processes.
- Degree in a scientific or engineering discipline; cosmetic science qualification desirable.
- 5+ years’ experience in industrialisation, scale-up or formulation development.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience leading or supervising teams in a manufacturing environment; sets clear expectations, coaches effectively and holds teams accountable.
- Experience within cosmetics, FMCG, pharmaceutical, medical device or similar regulated industry.
- Strong understanding of GMP, ISO standards and statistical process control.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
