About the role
This role sits at the heart of Cottsway’s Asset Management function, ensuring that housing disrepair claims are managed effectively, professionally, and in a manner that protects both customers and the organisation. The primary purpose of the role is to co-ordinate and oversee all disrepair claims from initial notification through to resolution, ensuring legal and operational responses are timely, appropriate, and compliant with the Housing Disrepair Pre-Action Protocol.
In addition to managing disrepair matters, the role supports the wider delivery of the organisation’s asset investment and planned programmes. This includes assisting with procurement activities, contract administration, programme monitoring, and ensuring planned works are delivered efficiently and in line with agreed targets. The role also takes ownership of complaints relating to major works, coordinates responses to insurance-related property claims, and supports the management of serious property incidents such as fires, floods, and subsidence.
About You
To be successful you will need experience of working in a housing environment and an understanding of disrepair protocols, housing law and best practice as it applies to asset management. You will have strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills are essential, together with good communication skills.
A DBS check will be required for the successful applicants as part of our pre-employment screening process
