Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 5:30 pm, with alternate Saturdays from 7:00 am – 1:00 pm.

As a Yard Operative, you’ll be the backbone of the team, keeping the warehouse organised, handling materials safely, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

What Is Required:

  • Forklift Licence: A valid counterbalance forklift licence is required for moving building materials and ensuring everything is in its proper place.
  • Team Player: Ability to work well with colleagues, take ownership of tasks, and thrive in independent work situations.
  • Dynamic: Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to handle a busy yard.
  • Good Communication: Ability to interact with customers and colleagues to ensure smooth operations.

  • Safely load and unload delivery vehicles using the forklift, ensuring efficient storage of materials.

  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
  • Regularly check forklifts and yard equipment, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth yard operations and on-time deliveries.
  • Perform other manual handling tasks and yard maintenance as needed.
