Salary: Negotiable

Hours: 6:00am to 17:15pm Monday–Friday, Alternate Saturdays 7:00am to 16:15pm

About The Role: As the Security Guard you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the premises, customers, and staff. This security guard role requires a proactive individual who can handle a variety of situations calmly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the store manager on any aspect of theft or security.
  • Check for customers who behave suspiciously and carry out search of suspects.
  • Check and collect customer receipts.
  • Patrol all areas of the shop, including blind spots not just exits and counter.
  • Patrol back yard and alleyway.
  • Check showroom, basement, and storeroom.
  • Log all incidents to discuss with the store manager on a weekly basis.
  • Carry out random spot checks.
  • Check premises at close of day and leave with the last member of staff.
  • Monitor traffic wardens outside the store and notify any customers who have vehicles parked outside.
  • Check delivery tickets on company vehicles.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar security guard role is essential
  • SIA Licence
  • Honesty and integrity
  • Good observational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • The ability to handle sensitive situations and to use initiative to make quick decisions
