Salary: £32,550.31 per annum

Hours: Monday – Friday: 06:00 – 16:00, Alternate Saturdays: 06:30 – 15:30

About the Role:

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Plumbing & Heating Warehouse Assistant to join this family owned builders merchants busy warehouse team in Willesden. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with warehouse or builders’ merchant experience who has strong knowledge of plumbing materials and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the warehouse, supporting trade counter operations, customer collections, deliveries, and stock control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pick, pack, and prepare plumbing orders accurately for customer collections, deliveries, and branch transfers
  • Safely load and unload vehicles, including supplier deliveries, while ensuring all goods are checked and discrepancies reported promptly
  • Maintain organised stock locations, clear product labelling, and accurate stock rotation throughout the warehouse
  • Assist with stock takes and cycle counts to help maintain accurate stock levels and minimise errors
  • Report damaged, missing, or incorrect stock to management and support overall stock accuracy
  • Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, tidy, safe, and compliant with health & safety standards at all times.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within a warehouse or yard environment
  • Builders’ merchant experience
  • Forklift Licence
  • Good knowledge of plumbing and heating materials/products
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comfortable with manual handling duties
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within a team
