Hours: Monday to Friday: 7.15am – 5.15pm, Alternate Saturdays: 7:00am – 1:00pm
Purpose of the role: As Transport Supervisor, you’ll oversee the daily transport operation, leading drivers and yard colleagues while ensuring vehicles, routes, and deliveries are managed efficiently and in full compliance with legal and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily transport operations to ensure deliveries are completed safely, on time, and efficiently
- Supervise and support drivers and yard team members to maintain compliant, effective operations
- Plan routes and maximise fleet efficiency, including vehicle loading and day-to-day fleet monitoring
- Liaise with customers and colleagues to resolve delivery queries and provide clear updates
- Ensure vehicles and drivers meet all legal, safety, and company standards, carrying out and recording regular checks
- Promote a positive team culture with strong communication and high customer service standards
Requirements:
- Proven experience in transport, logistics, or fleet management within builders’ merchants or construction materials
- Previous experience supervising and leading a team
- Strong working knowledge of vehicle maintenance, transport legislation, and driver compliance
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Confident communicator with a positive, collaborative, solutions-focused approach
- Calm under pressure, adaptable in a fast-paced environment, and committed to health & safety
